Xinomavro Seminar

May 25, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We cordially invite professionals in the wine and restaurant industry, members of the wine press, and WSET Level 3 and Diploma students to join us for an exclusive and complimentary seminar and tasting.

Join us for a captivating exploration of the Xinomavro grape, an underrated and lesser-known variety that is native to the Naoussa region in Greece.

During this educational event, you will discover the unique characteristics of Xinomavro that set it apart from other grape varieties. Xinomavro means “sour black” in Greek, and is often compared to Nebbiolo for to its high acidity and pronounced tannins, its floral, perfumy nose and earthy tones in the background.

The wines produced from Xinomavro grapes range from dry to medium sweet with a great aging potential. As we delve deeper into the history and production methods of Xinomavro, you will gain a better appreciation for this underrated grape variety.

The Naoussa region is home to the most exceptional Xinomavro vineyards, and this event offers you a unique opportunity to learn about the region's terroir and how it influences the character of the wines produced.
