Our Classic Wine of the Week for November 8 is the 2021 Domaine Zind-Humbrecht “Clos Windsbuhl” Riesling from Alsace — available by the glass and at a special price for one day only! 🍷✨
Clos Windsbuhl is one of the most renowned vineyards in Alsace, sitting just above the legendary Rosacker Grand Cru—the home of Clos Ste. Hune. With its limestone soils and higher elevation (~350 ft), this site ripens slowly, allowing grapes to develop remarkable aromatic intensity while retaining bright, mouthwatering acidity.
Winemaker Olivier Humbrecht MW ferments exclusively with native yeasts, crafting a Riesling that is both precise and deeply expressive. This is a true insider wine—a favorite among sommeliers and serious wine lovers.
Come taste why! ✨🍋🍏
Each week at Blind Bishop, we open a benchmark wine—the kind every wine lover or student should know. These are not just great bottles; they’re reference points for style, origin, and craftsmanship.
To make tasting these classics accessible, we’re offering Zind-Humbrecht's Clos Windsbuhl Riesling by the glass only this Saturday (Nov 8, 5–9pm) and at special educational pricing:
These prices are available only on the day of the tasting.

In addition to our featured wine, we’re running two flights designed to challenge your palate and sharpen your skills—whether you’re studying for exams or just love learning by tasting. You can opt to taste them blind for additional challenge.
✨ Flight of Nations (White) — $36 → $28.80
For those who love a blind challenge, we’re keeping this one under wraps: three countries, three classic grape varieties.
Prefer not to taste blind? No problem - the wines will be listed on the menu upon request.
🍷 Flight of Nations (Red) — $40 → $32
Same concept — three countries, three varieties — but this one is definitely more challenging. In fact, we’re not entirely sure we would get all three blind… but that’s half the fun, right?
And of course, if you’d rather skip the mystery, you can taste this flight non-blind as well.
Fall Reds Flight
Three cozy reds that pair beautifully with your favorite autumn dishes. 🍂🍷
Each flight is designed for both learning and enjoyment, and we’ll have Dilek Caner MW on the floor to guide discussions and answer questions.
